Chet Hanks Confronts Eric André Over Past Comments

<p>Tom Hanks’ son Chet confronted comedian Eric André last weekend about their ongoing feud during an encounter recorded at ComplexCon. Chet Hanks posted on Instagram, stating, "Finally ran into @ericf-----gandre, who apparently travels to ComplexCon with 4 security guards (because the environment makes him uneasy) and who had NO MEMORY WHATSOEVER of trashing me to the media after I outshined him on his own show!!"</p><p>He continued, "Until after being sheltered by his security team, began foaming at the mouth and admitted it was because he had a problem with me ‘mocking Caribbean culture’ when I did my Jamaican accent all those years ago."</p><p>In the video shared by Hanks, he approaches André and puts his hand on his shoulder. André greets him in a friendly manner, asking, "What’s up?" before Hanks confronts him. The audio of Hanks expressing his frustration is not clear, but André is seen shrugging in response.</p><p>The encounter concludes with André walking away with his security team, mentioning something about Hanks’ father, Tom Hanks, while Hanks laughs with friends, stating, "That was a long time coming."</p><p>Chet Hanks had appeared on "The Eric Andre Show" in June 2023. In a previous interview, André remarked that Hanks "broke our crew" and described the experience as feeling like the film 'Rust.' He also commented on Hanks’ behavior during filming, stating, "He is … emotionally disturbed. He stole a motorcycle and rode it around. He almost knocked a bunch of grips and gaffers off their ladders. It was very dangerous."</p><p>After the interview, Hanks responded on his Instagram Stories, calling André a "p----" and claiming he "outshined" the comedian, stating he was only trying to match the energy of André’s guests.</p><p>Fox News Digital has reached out to André for comment.</p>
