Moms for Liberty is implementing artificial intelligence to monitor school board agendas across more than 13,000 school districts in the United States, providing parents with advance notice of policies that may be considered controversial before local officials vote on them, according to Fox News Digital.

Tina Descovich, co-founder and CEO of Moms for Liberty, stated, "The Biden admin targeted our parents for showing up to school board meetings, but we were just getting started. Wait and see what happens when parents receive timely information about what is being discussed at their school board meetings."

The new system, named M4L AWARE (Agenda Watch, Alert, Response, and Engage), scans school board agendas every 12 hours for issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), gender policies, curriculum changes, and Title IX, as reported by the parental rights organization.

When the system identifies a high-priority item, it sends local Moms for Liberty chapters a plain-language summary and a ready-to-share alert to help parents organize prior to school board meetings.

The organization claims the system provides chapters with approximately 72 hours to mobilize parents, register for public comment, and review proposals before board members vote.

Descovich remarked, "Moms for Liberty is harnessing AI to increase the oversight of school boards across the nation, empowering parents like never before. For five years, we’ve asked parents to show up at school board meetings, and they have. The problem is that it’s incredibly time-consuming to sift through thousands of pages in agendas each week, and school districts count on that."

She added that the new AI tool will enable Moms for Liberty members and other parents to quickly pinpoint concerning policies that may be hidden within school board agendas, even when released late in the week, allowing families time to respond before decisions are made.

The announcement of this tool follows a report from the Justice Department's Weaponization Working Group, which indicated that the FBI had opened 25 "Guardian assessments" involving parents after a memorandum from then-Attorney General Merrick Garland on October 4, 2021, addressing threats against school officials.

The report noted that an FBI whistleblower revealed that one mother was investigated based on a tip that she was a gun owner and associated with what was described as a "right-wing mom's group." A joint DOJ-Education Department release identified that group as Moms for Liberty.

The Working Group concluded that the memo was influenced by pressure from the White House and improperly weaponized the Department of Justice against parents, according to the DOJ press release.
