Actor Robert Kelker-Kelly, known for his role on 'Days of Our Lives,' died after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Missouri, as reported by law enforcement. A police report indicates that he was found unresponsive in his bedroom after experiencing chest, neck, and left arm pain earlier that evening. His wife, Allison Kelly, reported that she picked him up from Spirit of St. Louis Airport around 7:30 p.m. on October 3, when he began to feel pain during their drive home.
Allison asked if he wanted to go to the hospital, but he declined and opted to lie down. After changing clothes and getting into bed, he continued to experience pain and requested aspirin. When Allison returned to the bedroom, she found him unresponsive and not breathing.
The responding officer's report noted that Allison initiated CPR and called 911. Paramedics from the St. Charles County Ambulance District arrived and attempted lifesaving measures, but he was pronounced dead at 9:09 p.m.
The police report stated that Allison identified her husband as having no known medical conditions and no serious injuries or surgeries in the previous year. She mentioned that he did not smoke cigarettes regularly and only occasionally smoked cigars, and he did not use illicit substances.
The St. Charles County Medical Examiner's Office determined that no further investigation was necessary, and police classified the incident as a 'sudden death,' closing the case.
Emergency personnel responded to the residence around 8:16 p.m. after receiving a report of an unconscious man. Kyle Gaines, division chief and public information officer for the St. Charles County Ambulance District, confirmed that paramedics provided advanced life-saving techniques but unfortunately pronounced the patient deceased on the scene.
Kelker-Kelly was best known for portraying Bo Brady on 'Days of Our Lives' from 1992 to 1995. He also had roles on 'Another World' and 'General Hospital' before leaving Hollywood to pursue a career in aviation. He is survived by his daughter, Amelia Rose Kelly, and his wife, Allison Kelly.
