The Pentagon released a new set of documents and videos related to unidentified flying objects (UFOs) on June 12, 2026. This marks the third release since the government began disclosing information on the topic last month. The latest batch includes 53 documents, 10 images, six videos, and three NASA audio recordings from various agencies, including the CIA, FBI, and NASA.
The videos feature orb-like objects in the sky, and some documents detail encounters reported by federal law enforcement officers in 2023, where five agents described seeing strange orbs. One agent recounted their partner asking, 'Are you seeing this?' as a glowing orb appeared.
The Pentagon's UFO website hosts the new files, which include eyewitness footage, a departure from previous releases that primarily featured military footage. Notably, one video titled 'Northeastern Orb Sighting' from July 2025 shows two bright lights moving silently in formation. Another video, 'Orbs Over the Pond,' from October 2024 depicts a light source hovering above a pond, described as a 'plasma-like sphere.'
Additionally, one document from a CIA panel in the early 1950s concluded that flying saucers did not pose a physical threat but recommended a policy to 'debunk' the issue to reduce its mystery. Recent sightings reported by federal agents in October 2023 included accounts of lights moving in groups and orbs being expelled from a larger light source. The recent disclosures were prompted by an executive order from President Trump mandating the release of more UFO-related documents.
