House Majority PAC, a super PAC aligned with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, is increasing its television advertising reservations by nearly $11 million in response to redistricting developments in Florida and Virginia. The PAC is allocating approximately $5 million to Miami and West Palm Beach, targeting several competitive congressional seats in South Florida, and an additional $6.5 million to Norfolk and Richmond in Virginia.
These ad reservations come as Democrats are facing challenges with congressional maps in both states. In Florida, GOP legislators recently redrew the congressional map, while the Virginia Supreme Court rejected a Democratic gerrymander that had been approved via ballot referendum earlier this year.
House Majority PAC has already reserved $272 million for TV and digital advertising nationwide this fall as part of its efforts to regain control of the House. The PAC's new investments in Florida aim to support Rep. Jared Moskowitz, a Democrat facing tougher competition due to the redrawn district lines, and to target a Miami seat held by Republican Rep. María Elvira Salazar. In Virginia, the PAC is focusing on Republican Rep. Rob Wittman with a $2 million ad buy in Richmond and nearly $4.6 million in Norfolk against Republican Rep. Jen Kiggans, as both districts remain competitive following the redistricting process.
