The FBI has arrested two men, William Lee Spartacus Falkner and Jordan Rincker, who are accused of plotting a terror attack at the UFC Freedom 250 event. The Justice Department announced the charges of conspiracy to commit murder on Monday. The alleged plan involved using explosive-carrying drones to create panic, followed by sniper attacks targeting specific political figures.
Falkner was arrested on Friday in Washington and appeared in court in Tacoma on Monday, while Rincker was arrested on Sunday and appeared in court in Kansas City. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche stated that law enforcement is actively working to disrupt and hold accountable those planning harm against the White House.
The FBI claims the plot was orchestrated by an illegal immigrant from Mexico, uncovered after a concerned mother reported her son's plans to local law enforcement. Investigators accessed group chats where the attack was discussed. Falkner reportedly has experience with drones and discussed loading them with explosives. Following previous arrests related to the plot, Falkner and others canceled a planned trip.
Rincker, 28, is accused of receiving $1,200 from the alleged ringleader, Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, to fund the plot. He allegedly met Alvarez in Omaha, Nebraska, and exchanged a shotgun for various tactical equipment, including night vision goggles and a minicomputer. FBI Director Kash Patel noted that these arrests are part of ongoing efforts to prevent threats to public safety.
