Terrion Arnold, a cornerback for the Detroit Lions, was arrested in connection with an alleged kidnapping and armed robbery that took place in February, as announced by the Tampa Police Department on Wednesday night. Arnold has been charged with four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery. He turned himself in at Orient Road Jail in Hillsborough County.
Police had previously arrested six other individuals related to the incident, which authorities described as a targeted armed robbery on February 4. According to investigators, Arnold rented an Airbnb in Largo, Florida, where he stayed with several co-defendants. The victims, three males in their late teens, reported being assaulted, held at gunpoint, and robbed.
Investigators allege that Arnold was the primary organizer of the scheme, which involved luring one of the victims to an apartment where the assault occurred. Evidence gathered during the investigation, including a group chat, suggested Arnold coordinated the actions of the other defendants during the incident. Arnold was selected by the Lions as the No. 24 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and had previously recorded his first career interception in Week 9 of the past season.
