Jonathan Loadholt was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in a conspiracy to murder journalist Masih Alinejad, a critic of the Iranian regime. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges and was arrested in November 2024 before the plot could be carried out. Another co-defendant, Carlisle Rivera, was sentenced to 15 years in prison earlier this year.

Jonathan Loadholt from Staten Island has been sentenced for his involvement in a conspiracy to stalk and murder journalist Masih Alinejad. He pled guilty to conspiracy to commit stalking and money laundering.

Jonathan Loadholt was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in a state-sponsored assassination plot against journalist Masih Alinejad, orchestrated by the Iranian government. Loadholt and his co-defendant were hired by an asset of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to carry out the assassination on U.S. soil, but the plot was disrupted by law enforcement.
