Amazon plans to expand Prime Air delivery drones to 500 US neighborhoods by 2026

Amazon aims to expand its Prime Air delivery drone service to nearly 500 cities and towns in the United States by the end of 2026. The company announced on August 19 that it will launch Prime Air in metropolitan areas including Chicago, Cleveland, Atlanta, Syracuse, New York, and Boise, Idaho, with additional locations planned later this year. Each Prime Air site will provide delivery service within an area of approximately 175 square miles, with delivery times estimated between 30 minutes to one hour. Currently, Prime Air operates from Amazon warehouses in 10 cities across seven states, including suburban areas of Phoenix, Tampa, Kansas City, Omaha, Baton Rouge, Detroit, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, and Waco.
