Texas Governor Requests Investigation into Islamic Washing Stations at Airports

Abbott's letter to U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche highlighted that the washing stations are equipped with religious items and argued that government-owned airports should not favor one religion over others. Houston Mayor John Whitmire defended the washing stations, stating they were established in response to passenger requests and are intended to serve travelers of various faiths, emphasizing that the facilities include interfaith chapels.
