Freedom 250 officials have stated that the organization is nonpartisan and focused on celebrating the 250th anniversary of the nation. The event has led to confusion between Freedom 250 and America250, two groups involved in planning the anniversary celebrations. Freedom 250 is sponsoring various events, including the FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Zone and the Salute to America 250 Celebration on July 4.
