California Man Arrested Near U.S. Supreme Court with Guillotine

A man from Southern California has been arrested near the U.S. Supreme Court building in Washington, D.C., after authorities discovered a guillotine in the back of his pickup truck. U.S. Capitol Police reported on Tuesday that Philan-Tam-Duy Le, 35, was taken into custody on suspicion of carrying a dangerous weapon. Le, a resident of Julian in San Diego County, drove across the country from California. The motives behind his actions are currently unclear, and investigators are looking into his background to determine why he traveled to Washington, D.C. The pickup truck was found illegally parked along the 100 block of East Capitol Street, which is adjacent to the U.S. Capitol and the Library of Congress.
