LaMelo Ball hires personal driver following driving incidents, according to brother Lonzo

<p>LaMelo Ball, a guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves, has decided to employ a personal driver, as reported by his brother, Lonzo Ball. This decision follows LaMelo's history of car incidents.</p><p>During a recent episode of the "Curious Mike" podcast, Lonzo Ball discussed family spending habits and mentioned LaMelo's extensive car collection, which includes ten vehicles. Lonzo suggested that having a driver could reduce LaMelo's time behind the wheel, potentially decreasing the likelihood of accidents.</p><p>Lonzo also advised LaMelo to consider vehicles outside of the exotic category, noting that high-performance models, such as Lamborghinis, have been part of his collection. He expressed confusion over LaMelo's tendency to damage expensive cars shortly after purchase, stating, "You just bought that? And then you ripped it up? You could've just got a beater."</p><p>Lonzo addressed perceptions regarding LaMelo's driving incidents, clarifying that while his brother does not frequently get into accidents, he has experienced numerous situations on the road.</p><p>Lonzo Ball's own NBA career has been affected by injuries, leading to a lengthy absence from the game. He reflected on his time away, stating, "It was like a 1,000 and something days," and acknowledged the challenges of returning to his previous athletic level.</p><p>LaMelo Ball was selected third overall by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2020 NBA Draft and was traded to the Timberwolves in June 2026.</p>
