NYPD seeks suspect in connection with two fatal shootings in NYC

<p>The New York Police Department (NYPD) is searching for a suspect linked to two fatal shootings that occurred in the Bronx and Brooklyn days apart. The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Jesus Acosta, is wanted for a shooting during a deli robbery in the Bronx and another shooting in Brooklyn.</p><p>The most recent incident took place at approximately 12:16 a.m. on Tuesday at 149 Grill & Deli, located at 143 East 149th Street in the Bronx. According to police, a gunman approached a 33-year-old man and shot him multiple times in the chest. The victim was initially reported to be in stable condition but later died from his injuries, leading police to classify the case as a homicide.</p><p>Following the shooting, the assailant took an undisclosed amount of cash from behind the register and fled the scene. Acosta is also wanted for a shooting that occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday at 842 Rockaway Avenue in Brooklyn, which resulted in the death of a 44-year-old man and injuries to another man.</p><p>Responding officers found the 44-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the head and a 39-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg. Both victims were transported to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where the 44-year-old was pronounced dead, while the 39-year-old remains in stable condition.</p><p>The NYPD has released a description of Acosta, who is approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs around 175 pounds, has short brown hair, and brown eyes. He has tattoos that read "Bronx" on his hand and "Bobby" on his left forearm. Authorities are urging anyone with information about Acosta's whereabouts to come forward.</p>
