San Jose Police Officer Shot, Investigation Underway

A San Jose police officer was shot on Tuesday afternoon, prompting a significant law enforcement response and the officer being transported to a hospital. The incident was reported at 12:31 p.m. near Lick Avenue and Goodyear Street, according to police. The officer was taken to Valley Medical Center for treatment.
