Final witness in Lindsay Clancy trial testifies about her mental state during killings

<p>FBI psychiatrist Gregory Saathoff stated that he has treated only two women with postpartum psychosis, both decades earlier.</p><p>The Lindsay Clancy trial was approaching closing arguments on Wednesday, as a final witness for the prosecution asserted that he believed the Massachusetts mother understood right from wrong when she took the lives of her three young children before attempting suicide in 2023.</p><p>Dr. Gregory Saathoff testified in court in Plymouth that he does not accept Clancy’s claim that she heard a voice instructing her to kill the children – five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson, and eight-month-old Callan – while her defense team argues that this occurred during her experience with postpartum psychosis.</p>
