Former Girlfriend Receives Community Order for Harassment of Actor David Kennedy

Lindsay Cullen, 45, a former girlfriend of soap actor David Kennedy, has received an 18-month community order for a series of harassment offenses against him. Cullen threatened to expose private sexual pictures and messages, prompting concerns for Kennedy's career. The Liverpool Magistrates' Court heard that Cullen, who was already on bail for harassment, made numerous threatening phone calls, including one lasting 47 minutes and another day when she called 61 times. Prosecutor Sarah McInerney stated that Cullen's jealousy of other women in Kennedy's life fueled her threats. Kennedy, 62, expressed in a personal statement that Cullen's actions caused him significant stress and anxiety. Cullen pleaded guilty to two breaches of a non-molestation order, two charges of stalking, and one charge of harassment, all occurring in April and May 2026. Defense attorney Katie Bennett noted that Cullen recognized her behavior was wrong and attributed it to alcohol use. Judge James Clarke indicated that Cullen's offenses warranted a prison sentence but opted for a community order instead. In addition to the community order, Cullen received a nine-month alcohol treatment order, a five-year restraining order, a three-month tagging order, and was ordered to pay £199 in costs.
