Senators Call for Investigation into Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Over Allegations of Lying

<p>Senators are calling for Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to resign or be removed from his position, with at least one senator advocating for a criminal investigation. This follows the release of documents that they claim demonstrate Kennedy provided false information during his confirmation hearings last year.</p><p>Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) stated, "This is a pattern, not a slip. RFK Jr. has lied to the Senate, lied to the American people, and jeopardized the health of children to advance his anti-vaccine agenda."</p><p>Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) expressed in a social media post that the documents serve as "proof we got RFK lying on the record during his confirmation hearing (a crime)." He has called for the issue to be referred to the US Department of Justice for a criminal investigation. In a separate statement to The Guardian, Wyden remarked that "RFK's platform is built on lies and grifts that leave a trail of dead children in their wake. There are consequences for lying to Congress."</p>
