Jets' Chip Trayanum Taken to Hospital with Neck Injury

Chip Trayanum was awake, alert, and moving his extremities on Friday night as he was transported from MetLife Stadium to a local hospital, according to a statement from the Jets. Trayanum, an undrafted rookie, sustained a neck injury on the final play of the first half after being tackled following a handoff from Cade Klubnik. The Jets ruled him out due to the neck injury before he was taken to the hospital. Trayanum remained on the field for several minutes while teammates knelt nearby. A neck brace appeared to be applied as he was immobilized and carted off the field. Prior to the injury, Trayanum had recorded 12 carries for 38 yards and one touchdown, along with two receptions for 25 yards. He is considered a practice-squad candidate as the Jets have Breece Hall, Braelon Allen, Isaiah Davis, and Kene Nwangwu in their backfield.
