Liverpool Football Club has reached an agreement to sign French forward Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in a deal valued at up to 123 million pounds ($166 million), according to media reports. The 23-year-old is expected to join manager Andoni Iraola's squad following the departure of Mohamed Salah. The deal includes a base payment of 106 million pounds ($143 million), with potential add-ons of up to 17 million pounds ($23 million), as reported by the BBC. Barcola is anticipated to sign a five-year contract with the club.
Barcola transferred to PSG from Olympique Lyonnais in 2023 and has since won multiple titles, including back-to-back UEFA Champions League titles in the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons, three Ligue 1 championships, and two French Cups. He made 152 appearances for PSG, scoring 39 goals and providing 37 assists. At the time of the transfer, he had two years remaining on his contract with PSG.
Barcola's signing adds to Liverpool's roster, which has already seen the arrivals of Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo on loan, French center back Jeremy Jacquet, and Spanish forward Victor Munoz during the close season. Liverpool's current attacking lineup includes British record signing Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha, and Munoz, as the team adapts to life without Salah. Forward Hugo Ekitike is currently out due to a long-term injury. Liverpool is scheduled to host Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
