Trump Criticizes NBC Host Over Endorsement Remarks

<p>President Donald Trump criticized NBC's Kristen Welker on Sunday, accusing the <em>Meet the Press</em> moderator of misrepresenting his endorsement record ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.</p><p>Trump, who claims a 100% success rate with endorsed candidates in 2026 Senate primaries and a 98% success rate in House races, objected to Welker's comment made during a pre-show appearance on WRC-TV, NBC's local Washington station, where she stated he had 'mixed results' with his endorsements.</p><p>Trump posted on Truth Social, stating, 'Kristen Welker, the Unpopular ‘Hostess’ of the once great Meet the Press, now considered Meet the Fake Press, just stated that Donald Trump has ‘mixed results’ on his Endorsements of Candidates, when the recent WINS of Darline Graham and Mike Mazzei, stand at 100% for the U.S. Senate, and 98% for the U.S. House, recently and over the longterm.'</p><p>He questioned how someone could make such statements while working for public airwaves and indicated he would report her to the FCC for rebuke or punishment due to what he described as purposeful inaccuracy.</p><p>Trump further addressed the media, claiming that many outlets focus on negative aspects of his endorsements while reframing positive outcomes to appear unfavorable. He stated, 'The Radical Left News is going out of their way to harass, demean, and libel anything ‘TRUMP.’ Their new weapon is to say that my 99% SUCCESS Rate on Endorsements, 100% on Senatorial Endorsements... is either a mixed result, or not very good.'</p><p>Trump cited Senator Darline Graham (R-SC) as an example of a candidate who benefited from his endorsement, noting that her candidacy was not widely recognized before his support. He expressed frustration that her victory and that of the future Governor of Oklahoma, whom he also endorsed, received little media coverage.</p><p>In a related note, HBO host Bill Maher acknowledged during his Friday night broadcast of 'Real Time' that he had underestimated the impact of Trump's endorsements in the 2026 primary races, joking that Trump had texted him to correct his previous stance.</p>
