Iran Launches Retaliatory Attacks Following US Strikes on Larak Island

The IRGC claimed to have targeted US bases in Jordan as a legitimate act of self-defense. Jordan's army reported intercepting eight missiles fired by Iran. Additionally, the IRGC stated it had intercepted a US drone over the Strait of Hormuz. The UAE's Ministry of Defence reported responding to a drone approaching its territorial waters but rejected claims of an attack on its airbase. The situation has raised concerns about the potential for further escalation and the impact on diplomatic efforts to resolve ongoing tensions. Economic sanctions against Iran are expected to increase as part of the US strategy.
