A bookmobile and reading room containing millions of pages from the Jeffrey Epstein files will be displayed in Dallas starting September 8, coinciding with the first GOP midterm convention. The exhibit, named the "Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Reading Room," will be open to the public during the Republican National Committee's event featuring Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
The exhibits are curated by the Institute for Primary Facts and aim to encourage continued investigation by the Department of Justice into Epstein's crimes. David Garrett, Executive Director of IPF, stated that the timing of the exhibits is intentional, as they want to engage with the ongoing conversation at the convention.
The reading room will be available in Dallas from September 8 to September 11, while the bookmobile will make stops in the city on September 10. The exhibits compile 3.5 million documents related to the DOJ’s investigation into Epstein, requiring two semi-trucks for transport due to the weight of the documents, which total 17,000 pounds and occupy 574 feet across 20 bookshelves. The bookmobile will feature condensed versions of the same information.
The reading room previously opened for several days in June in Washington, D.C., prior to Attorney General Todd Blanche’s confirmation. Garrett expressed concern that Blanche's confirmation represents a lack of justice for survivors, particularly as their personal information was released when the files became public. He noted that the centerpiece of the reading room will be a 390-square-foot exhibit detailing the interactions between Epstein and Trump, allowing visitors to form their own conclusions about the investigation.
Survivors of trafficking are expected to attend the Dallas exhibits, with two having been trafficked in the city. The IPF is a nonprofit organization that recently received tax-exempt status, and its funding sources are currently unknown. The anti-Trump group Defiance is collaborating with IPF to facilitate the bookmobile, which is funded through subscriptions.
