Chicago Cubs Set Franchise Record with Nine Home Runs in Game Against Brewers

<p>The Chicago Cubs achieved a franchise record by hitting nine home runs in a game against the Milwaukee Brewers on September 1, 2026. This performance matched the second most home runs hit by a team in a single game in MLB history.</p><p>Star third baseman Alex Bregman contributed significantly, hitting three of the home runs. The Cubs took an early lead when left fielder Tyrone Taylor hit a two-run home run off Brewers' starter Kyle Harrison, followed by a solo home run from second baseman Nico Hoerner.</p><p>Bregman hit his first home run in the second inning, extending the Cubs' lead to 6-0.
