US and Iran Exchange Strikes Amid Ongoing Conflict

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced plans to impose fresh sanctions on Iran, including bank sanctions. He indicated that the US is considering targeting companies that do business with Iran's Revolutionary Guards. The US military confirmed the strikes on Iranian targets, stating they were in retaliation for failed Iranian attempts to add sea mines to the Strait. Trump warned that if Iran retaliates, they will face a stronger response. An IRGC spokesman stated that the US would regret its latest attacks, which reportedly included a strike on Jiroft airport in southeastern Iran.
