Tim Curry's Cause of Death Identified as Coronary Artery Disease

<p>An examination of actor Tim Curry's body revealed that he died of coronary artery disease.</p><p>Documents from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health indicated that Curry's primary cause of death was coronary artery disease. His previous stroke in 2012 and a history of kidney cancer were also noted as significant conditions contributing to his overall health decline.</p><p>The documents did not indicate that Curry underwent any operations related to his prior stroke, kidney cancer, or coronary artery disease.</p><p>After his roles in "Rocky Horror Picture Show," "Clue," and Stephen King's "It," Curry appeared in numerous films and television shows, including comedic roles in "Muppet Treasure Island" and series like "Monk" and "Psych," as well as a role in the procedural drama "Criminal Minds." </p><p>A major stroke in 2012 affected Curry's ability to perform at his previous level. He recalled, "I was having a massage at the time and I didn’t even actually notice anything, but the guy who was doing the massage said, ‘I’m worried about you. I want to call an ambulance.’ And he did, and I said, ‘That’s so silly.'" Following the stroke, he experienced ongoing difficulties with the use of his left leg.</p><p>Afterward, he focused primarily on voiceover work, voicing characters in shows such as Nickelodeon's "The Wild Thornberrys" and Disney Channel's "Phineas and Ferb." </p><p>Curry passed away at the age of 80 at his home in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles, on Tuesday, August 25, according to a statement from his publicist.</p><p>The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that officers were called to his home to investigate, noting that he died just after 11 p.m.</p>
