Trump Comments on Harry and Meghan's Return to the UK

<p>President Donald Trump expressed his feelings regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's return to the United Kingdom on September 2, 2026, stating he was "happy" to see the couple leave the United States. </p><p>“I’m happy about it,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. “I was not a fan.”</p><p>Trump criticized Harry and Markle for what he described as "great disrespect" towards the royal family, specifically mentioning Markle's behavior towards the late Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III. </p><p>“I didn’t like the way she acted,” Trump said. “I thought she was terribly disrespectful to the Queen, to King Charles.”</p><p>He added, “If I were the royal family, I would not have taken them back.”</p><p>Trump has previously criticized Markle, particularly when it was rumored she supported his opponent Joe Biden during the 2020 presidential election.
