Justin Tucker Works Out with New York Jets Amid Past Allegations

<p>Justin Tucker was among three kickers who worked out for the New York Jets on Wednesday, according to Tom Pelissero from The Ringer. Michael Badgley and Joshua Karty also participated in the workout.</p><p>Tucker, who is considered one of the greatest kickers in NFL history, has not played since the 2024 season. Last season, he did not sign with a team after serving a 10-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.</p><p>In January 2025, The Baltimore Banner reported that 16 female massage therapists accused Tucker of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior during sessions between 2012 and 2016 at various spas in and around Baltimore.</p><p>The Baltimore Ravens released Tucker in May 2025, after 13 seasons with the franchise.</p><p>Tucker has not been criminally charged or sued civilly over the allegations and has denied any wrongdoing. In the following month, Tucker, his wife Amanda, and his legal team provided information they said cast doubt on the accusations.</p><p>Among the material cited by Tucker’s legal team was an email from one accuser who expressed that it had been "a pleasure working with you" when he canceled his membership at one of the spas in 2016.</p><p>The information provided does not, by itself, prove Tucker’s innocence.</p><p>The allegations against Tucker have drawn comparisons to those made against Deshaun Watson, who faced allegations from multiple massage therapists and ultimately settled 23 civil lawsuits, receiving an 11-game suspension in 2022.</p><p>Despite the allegations, Watson signed a fully guaranteed contract with the Cleveland Browns worth $230 million. In contrast, the Ravens released Tucker after the allegations became public, leaving his future in the NFL uncertain.</p><p>The difference lies in the perception of the players; the Browns believed Watson was still a franchise quarterback in his prime, while Tucker, who turns 37 in November, is coming off the worst statistical season of his career, making only 73.3% of his field-goal attempts in 2024.</p><p>NFL teams evaluate a player’s past controversies against their performance, and so far, teams have not deemed Tucker worth the risk.</p><p>Tucker previously worked out for the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts, both of which chose not to sign him.</p><p>Justin Tucker did not respond to a request for comment on Wednesday.
