Lindsay Clancy murder trial jury unable to reach unanimous verdict

<p>The jury in the trial of Lindsay Clancy has informed the judge for a third time that it cannot reach a verdict regarding the case of the Massachusetts woman accused of killing her children.</p><p>Defense attorney Kevin Reddington requested that the judge delay formally declaring a mistrial, stating that he intends to file an appeal with the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court concerning an apparent holdout juror.</p><p>Reddington stated, “I believe that this is a situation where there is a clear and present danger that this individual, for some reason ... is taking a position that’s intractable regardless of proof beyond a reasonable doubt.”</p><p>The jury expressed, “It is with a heavy heart that we report we are unable to come to a unanimous decision and will not be able to.”</p>
