Illinois Woman Charged with Murder in Death of 2-Year-Old Son

<p>An Illinois woman has been charged with three counts of murder in the death of her 2-year-old son, according to authorities. Corie A. Walsh, 40, was found with non-life-threatening self-inflicted wounds when police responded to her home on Tuesday, September 4, 2026, the Frankfort Police Department stated in a news release.</p><p>Walsh is currently receiving medical treatment and will be transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility once released to await a hearing. Police officers found her son unresponsive at the home and he was later pronounced dead at a hospital.</p><p>The boy was reported to have been strangled, as per FOX 32.
