<p class="wp-block-paragraph">News anchor <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/maria-bartiromo/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Maria Bartiromo</a> has responded to <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/fox-news/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Fox News</a>, contesting the company's announcement that it terminated her employment.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Thursday, the network <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/4712266/maria-bartiromo-out-fox-news/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">issued</a> a press release stating, "effective today, Maria Bartiromo is no longer with Fox News Media," and expressed gratitude for her over 12 years at the company. The announcement surprised many in the media industry, as it provided few details regarding the circumstances.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Bartiromo's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, stated on Friday, "The irresponsible reports that have been published stating that Maria Bartiromo was fired or is no longer an employee of Fox are absolutely and unequivocally false. Make no mistake, we have the receipts and witnesses and they will come out whether through the courthouse or otherwise."</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Freedman, who has represented notable media figures such as Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and Don Lemon, has been engaged by Bartiromo. The <em>Washington Examiner</em> has contacted Freedman for further comment.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Freedman further stated, "Those reporting her firing or the incredulous facts supporting that fiction have exhibited a complete and utter reckless disregard for the truth," in a statement to the <em>Hollywood Reporter</em>.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The lawyer emphasized that Bartiromo is "still employed by Fox." The <em>Washington Examiner</em> has also reached out to Fox News for a response to Freedman's claims.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Bartiromo joined Fox Business in 2013 and has hosted three shows, including <em>Mornings with Maria</em> and <em>Sunday Morning Futures</em> on Fox News, as well as <em>Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street</em> on Fox Business.</p>
