Trump Describes Iran Conflict as 'Small Potatoes'

President Donald Trump stated on Friday that he refers to the Iran conflict as a "military conflict" because he considers it "small potatoes" for the United States. Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump compared the Iran conflict to other wars in terms of duration and U.S. casualties, noting that 18 Americans have been killed in Iran compared to "tens of thousands of people" in other conflicts. He mentioned that the U.S. has conducted "intermittent strikes" in Iran but emphasized that "we're not fighting right now." This statement comes after a month without fighting, during which Iran and the U.S. exchanged strikes in the Middle East, including Iran targeting U.S. ally Kuwait. Trump asserted that the U.S. is in control of the Strait of Hormuz and claimed that "we stopped Iran from having a nuclear weapon." He added, "I don't think it matters what you call it. What matters is the fact that we've had tremendous success."
