Alex Witt Signs Off After Nearly 30 Years at MS NOW

Throughout her career, she has reported on significant events including the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the September 11, 2001 terror attacks, the COVID-19 pandemic, royal weddings, and Hurricane Katrina.</p><p>Rebecca Kutler, president of MS NOW, stated in a staff memo in June that Witt had decided to conclude her tenure following an extraordinary career. Her weekend timeslot will be taken over by <i>The Assignment with Antonia Hylton</i> starting next Saturday. Hylton referred to Witt as a “legend and the Mayor of MS NOW.”</p><p>During her final show, various guests and panelists shared tributes to Witt. Witt introduced the segment by quoting a line from the movie <i>Ferris Bueller’s Day Off</i>, stating, “Life moves pretty fast. She stated, “Oooh, I knew it would be hard to get to this. You’re a champion, Nick. You fought for me, this show, our team... You’ve been my rudder through all of this. Thank you.”</p><p>She also acknowledged her children, Charlie and Caroline, for their understanding of her work schedule, expressing her pride and love for them.</p><p>Witt signed off by saying, “That’s going to do it for me on this edition of <i>Alex Witt Reports</i>.
