Pro-wrestler Andy Williams dies after head injury during match

Pro-wrestler Andy "The Butcher" Williams sustained a head injury during a wrestling match in Pennsylvania on Friday night, leading to his death. The incident occurred at Mr. Small’s Theatre in Millvale, Pennsylvania, where Williams, 48, was participating in a tag team match with partner Jesse "The Blade" Guilmette. Emergency dispatch audio revealed that a call was made reporting a male wrestler injured after hitting his head on a ringpost. The audio indicated that emergency services were already on the scene and requested "lifting assistance." The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Williams died following a medical crisis, although a preliminary cause of death was not provided. According to the Pittsburgh-based organization Love Wrestling, which organized the event, doctors entered the ring when Williams appeared to be in distress and administered CPR before transporting him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Love Wrestling later expressed their condolences on social media, stating "Butcher Forever." Williams was known for his involvement with All Elite Wrestling for nearly seven years and was also a musician, playing rhythm guitar for the metalcore band Every Time I Die.
