ABC news anchor Liz Cho and her estranged husband, Josh Elliott, are scheduled to address their ongoing divorce issues through private arbitration. According to court documents obtained by Page Six, the couple has agreed to resolve their divorce matters in arbitration, where a neutral third party will listen to both sides and make a binding decision.
The arbitration will cover several issues, including the divorce ruling, alimony, property division, and the determination of counsel and expert fees. It will also address unresolved claims and evidence related to their divorce. Connecticut Judge Elliot N. Solomon has been appointed as the arbitrator and will have the authority to find either party in contempt of court if necessary.
The arbitration is set to take place in October 2026, with a decision expected no later than 30 days after the meeting. The parties agreed that a record or recording of the meeting will not be required.
Lawyers for both Cho and Elliott did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment. Daily Mail was the first to report on the arbitration.
Elliott filed for divorce from Cho on June 20, 2025, after nearly ten years of marriage. The divorce proceedings have been contentious, with Cho requesting copies of Elliott’s communications with any person with whom he has had a romantic or sexual relationship since July 11, 2015.
In a court filing dated January 29, Cho claimed that Elliott moved a significant amount of furniture and their two dogs from their Connecticut home. She also reported missing a valuable watch and earrings, alleging that Elliott was the only person with access to them.
Elliott’s lawyers denied these allegations, stating that he only removed limited personal property and furnishings to create a safe environment for himself and his child. He also accused Cho of monitoring his phone calls and rifling through his personal belongings.
In August, Cho filed a motion for a protection order to prevent Elliott’s legal team from conducting a deposition scheduled for July 23, 2026. She objected to requests for documents related to her communications with others. Despite her objections, she agreed to provide some communications during a virtual court hearing on July 24.
Cho and Elliott met while working for ABC and were married in July 2015. This is the second marriage for both. Elliott previously worked on “Good Morning America” from 2011 to 2014 and has had brief stints with NBC and CBSN. Cho continues to serve as an anchor for “Eyewitness News.”
