In contrast, Judge Masateru Marubashi set the higher bail this time, citing the presence of law enforcement witnesses and the recovery of the firearm, which reportedly fell from Wilkinson's clothing. Prosecutors had requested that Wilkinson be held without bail in the new case, but the judge opted for the bail amount suggested by the prosecution. Wilkinson faces charges including attempted murder, assault, and reckless endangerment, as well as several gun-related offenses. His attorney, Tariq Farah, argued for a lower bail amount, stating that Wilkinson works as a home health care aide for his grandmother.
