Spanish opposition leader criticizes prime minister over migrant crisis in Ceuta

Abascal then displayed sheets of paper that spelled out "Traidor," the Spanish word for "traitor," leading to Sánchez sitting down.</p><p>Spain has experienced significant protests in response to the migrant arrivals in Ceuta, with critics attributing the crisis to Sánchez's policies and accusing him of appeasing Morocco.</p><p>In July, over 70,000 migrants crossed into Ceuta, with many returning to Morocco, but a number remain in the enclave, some living in tent encampments on the beach. Spain's national intelligence agency had issued multiple warnings prior to the mass crossing from Morocco, as indicated by declassified documents released by the government.
