Odell Beckham Jr. showcased his platinum hair color on Wednesday as he hurried through the Giants locker room ahead of a meeting. He declined an interview request until Thursday but appeared pleased with his hairstyle. "You know what time it is," Beckham stated, having worn his natural brown hair during training camp while competing for a spot on the 53-man roster.
The kickoff for the Giants-Cowboys game is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. on Sunday Night Football. This matchup is significant for Beckham, as it was against the Cowboys on November 23, 2014, that he gained fame for his one-handed catch.
The Giants have signed backup quarterback Jameis Winston to a two-year, $13 million contract through 2028. Head coach John Harbaugh expressed confidence in Winston, stating, "First of all, to me, Jameis is a really good quarterback. I was impressed with the way he played in the preseason. Not just that, though. Everybody in the circle knows what Jameis brings to the team, right? He’s a leader, and he’s one of those guys that drives everything forward, makes everybody around him better every single day. At some point in time, everybody’s going to need to play. So, I feel very confident and very excited that he is still with us."
All 53 members of the Giants roster practiced fully on Wednesday, including WR Malik Nabers (knee), TE Theo Johnson (shoulder), DT Shelby Harris (Achilles), LT Andrew Thomas (knee), and C Bryan Hudson (knee).
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer noted that the Giants have various offensive packages that challenge the Cowboys' defense. He mentioned, "They’ve got very specific people that they do very specific things with. [Patrick] Ricard is different than [Isaiah] Likely. Malik Nabers is different than Odell. You have to know, oh, Cam Skattebo is in the game [or] Tyrone Tracy Jr. is in the game. They do a nice job of shuffling their pieces around. We have plans for different groupings. They definitely challenge you with that."
