Josh Jacobs' ex-girlfriend seeks to seal evidence in domestic violence case

<p>Josh Jacobs’ ex-girlfriend has filed a motion to permanently seal evidence and discovery materials in the criminal case involving the Green Bay Packers running back. The motion was filed by attorneys Ramses Jalalpour and Amir Tahmassebi, representing the ex-girlfriend, identified as "ANM," and was submitted on Tuesday. The attorneys stated that the motion is intended to protect their client's privacy.</p><p>The evidence in question includes a surveillance video of an incident that took place in Jacobs’ garage, which was temporarily sealed in the case on Thursday.</p><p>Jacobs pleaded no contest to charges of battery and criminal damage to property related to the incident on May 23, both of which are misdemeanors. He is currently awaiting the NFL’s decision regarding potential disciplinary action following its investigation into the matter. Jacobs remains on the Commissioner’s Exempt List, although time spent there counts toward any suspension.</p><p>According to the criminal complaint, Jacobs was accused of throwing his ex-girlfriend to the ground and damaging her phone. The NFL is seeking to obtain the video as part of its investigation, as reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.</p><p>As part of the court agreement, Jacobs has been ordered to have no contact with the woman involved, pay restitution, attend counseling, and be under supervision for one year. The NFL’s baseline suspension for a first-time domestic violence offense is six games without pay, which could increase based on various factors.</p><p>Jacobs acknowledged the seriousness of the situation, stating, "I fully understand the seriousness of the situation and I take full responsibility." His attorneys noted that Jacobs has accepted responsibility for his conduct and resolved the matter. They also highlighted his history of community work during his NFL career.</p><p>As Jacobs awaits the NFL’s decision, the Packers began the 2026 NFL season with a loss, falling to 0-1 after a second-half collapse against the Minnesota Vikings.</p>
