Helicopter crash in Los Angeles results in three fatalities and one hospitalization

<p>At least three people are dead and another is hospitalized after a helicopter, which appears to belong to a news outlet, crashed Tuesday night in Los Angeles, according to authorities.</p><p>The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) reported that 56 firefighters responded just before 7 p.m. to the crash site located between two commercial buildings at 9151 N. Mason Ave. in Chatsworth.</p><p>LAFD Captain Branden Silverman stated that the aircraft appeared to be a news helicopter but did not confirm the specific outlet it was affiliated with.</p><p>Four individuals were assessed at the scene, with three pronounced dead and a fourth transported to a local hospital in unknown condition, as reported by the department.</p><p>One of the deceased was identified as a pedestrian in the parking lot, according to Silverman. Authorities did not immediately clarify whether the other victims were aboard the helicopter or on the ground.</p><p>The crash ignited a fire that damaged four vehicles and two storage containers before firefighters extinguished the flames, according to LAFD.
