The article in question stated that Patel had ordered his security detail to escort Wilkins' friends home after nights of partying, which Wilkins denies. MS NOW's president, Rebecca Kutler, stated that the organization stands by its reporting but did not comment further due to the ongoing legal matter. The lawsuit seeks damages exceeding $75,000 and claims that the article was intended as a hit piece against both Wilkins and Patel.
