TreVeyon Henderson Discusses Support for Family in Custody Dispute Over Gender Identity

<p>New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson addressed a social media post on Thursday defending a Massachusetts family involved in a custody dispute with the state over their teenage daughter's gender transition. The parents, Joseph and Arlene Kutzko, have been seeking to regain custody of their daughter since January 2025, after they reportedly refused to consent to medical procedures for her transition.</p><p>In his post, Henderson shared a video from Fox News and quoted Scripture, stating, "These parents who want to honor our Lord and lead their daughter into the truth... May justice be served." As of Thursday evening, the post had garnered 3.5 million views.</p><p>During a press conference in Foxboro, Henderson explained his reasoning for the post, saying, "I saw the state take away someone's child because they didn't want to affirm the daughter as a boy... I don't believe that's right." He emphasized the family's right to raise their child according to their beliefs.</p><p>Henderson also addressed allegations against the child's father, which included claims of physical abuse. He noted that these allegations did not lead to any criminal findings and that charges would be dropped if the father maintained distance from the child. He stated, "It doesn't mean that he was guilty of those charges... I think you're innocent until you're proven guilty."</p><p>The Boston Herald reported that a restraining order is in place against the parents, following an incident where an unidentified adult helped the child obtain the order after being in state custody for nearly a year.</p><p>Henderson expressed that his advocacy is guided by his faith, stating, "I just try to look at this world through a Biblical lens now... I'm not here to just play football. I think I have it in my bio that football is what I do, but a child of God is who I am." He emphasized that his commitment to his faith takes precedence over his football career.</p><p>"With this game or without this game, with money or without money, as long as I have Jesus, I got everything that I need," he said.</p>
