Milwaukee Bucks guard Kevin Porter Jr. recently married Tee Janay, as announced on his Instagram page on Thursday. The post included a series of photos from the wedding, with Porter, 26, captioning it, "WE/DO Mrs. Porter." The couple wore all black, with Porter in a black suit and Janay in a black wedding dress, holding purple flowers. Additional images featured the couple watching fireworks during the reception and dancing with guests.
The Bucks congratulated Porter on social media. The exact date of the wedding is unclear, but a post by bridal designer Inna Elsie appeared five days prior, showcasing Janay in one of the designer's bridal robes.
Porter is entering his third season with the Bucks after exercising a $5.39 million player option in his contract. His previous season was impacted by injury, where he averaged 17.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game in 38 games played. This season will be his first in Milwaukee without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was traded to the Miami Heat in July.
Porter has played in the NBA for six seasons, beginning with the Cleveland Cavaliers and later playing for the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, and the Bucks. He faced legal issues in September 2023, when he was arrested in New York and charged with assault and strangulation of his then-girlfriend Kysre Gondrezick. Gondrezick later stated that her injuries did not support the claims made by authorities. Porter accepted a plea deal, resulting in charges of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree.
