Roger Cettina Leads Reconstruction of Belmont Park

Roger Cettina, a senior vice president at AECOM Tishman and a passionate horse racing fan, has been awarded the contract to rebuild the Belmont Park grandstand in Long Island, which is known for hosting the final leg of the Triple Crown. Cettina, who began betting on horse races as a teenager, has achieved significant success in the sport, including a second-place finish in the 2013 National Horseplayers Championship, where he won $200,000. He also placed second again in 2015, earning an additional $230,000. Cettina estimates his lifetime net profit from betting to be around $300,000. Despite his success, he continues to work full-time in construction, contributing to major projects such as the Goldman Sachs Headquarters and renovations at the Javits Center. Cettina has relocated to Sea Bright, New Jersey, but has been commuting to West Hempstead during the week for the Belmont Park project. He expressed excitement about the opportunity to build a racetrack, stating it was an incredible experience.
