Malik Nabers and Brian Burns Discuss Injuries Following Giants' Loss to Rams

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Malik Nabers is scheduled for an MRI, while Brian Burns is awaiting further evaluation of his injury. Nabers dislocated his shoulder in the first quarter but managed to pop it back into place, while Burns suffered a low-ankle sprain in the final minutes of the game. The injuries occurred during the Giants' 28-6 loss to the Rams on Monday, which also saw quarterback Jaxson Dart likely sustain a sprained MCL. Nabers stated, "I pulled it back in and started feeling a little bit of strength back. We were without Jaxson, and I didn’t want to give the team another loss, so I went back in." He was injured after falling to the ground following an incompletion from Jameis Winston and finished the game with one catch for 1 yard. Burns was injured when his left ankle was rolled on during the game. He left the field with assistance and later walked gingerly to the locker room. Burns commented, "It wasn’t as bad as it felt, so that’s a plus. It’s getting stiff. It eases my mind to know it’s not nothing serious." The Giants are facing a quick turnaround with a game against the Titans on Sunday. Burns noted, "I’ve dealt with this before. It all depends on how fast you can get the swelling and inflammation down. I’m going to do everything possible to get as tamed as I can. The recovery process starts now, so it will be ice and compression until we get back to the facility and try to stay off it, keep it elevated."
