Jayden Daniels to Travel to London for Practice Following Elbow Injury

Jayden Daniels will travel with the Washington Commanders to London ahead of their Week 4 game against the Indianapolis Colts and will practice this week as he recovers from an elbow injury. While it may be unlikely that Daniels will play in the game on Sunday, the news is positive for Washington, which has a record of 1-2 in the 2026 season. Commanders coach Dan Quinn stated that Daniels has been proactive about wanting to return to the game. "That would be him, for sure, yes. But to his credit, he’s been absolutely putting in the work," Quinn said during a virtual press conference. "I am excited to get him back out on the practice field." Daniels sustained the elbow injury during the Commanders’ Week 2 loss to the Dallas Cowboys when his left arm bent awkwardly during a play late in the first half. He was carted off the field but returned to the sideline, missing Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks. When asked about his confidence in Daniels' quicker recovery this time compared to a previous elbow dislocation, Quinn attributed it to information from the medical team. "We’re just following the guidelines for him going through the process of him getting opinions from New York and L.A. sets the plan in motion," Quinn said. "We’ll stick to that." In two games this season, Daniels has completed 29 of 51 pass attempts for 260 yards and three touchdowns, with no interceptions. He has also rushed for 100 yards. The Commanders will depart for London on Tuesday, where they will face the Colts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
