California Woman Faces Charges After Viral Confrontation

Lindsay Hansen, 47, of San Jose, California, appeared in court on Tuesday following a viral video that allegedly shows her confronting a father and daughter. The video, which surfaced online, reportedly depicts Hansen accusing the father of sex trafficking his daughter based on their differing skin colors. According to Britlyn McCormick, a deputy district attorney with the Santa Clara County DA’s office, Hansen falsely accused the father of sex trafficking on September 6. In the video, Hansen can be heard yelling from her car, questioning the father’s relationship with the girl and stating, "I’m making sure that you’re not sex trafficking this poor little girl who’s very unhappy to be with you." Authorities indicated that Hansen had confronted the same father multiple times, including asking the child if she needed help and questioning the father's legal status in the country. Hansen faces several charges, including felony hate crime and stalking. Additionally, she is accused of entering a girls' locker room at a local school and harassing staff. San Jose Unified School District has reported the incidents to the police and is collaborating with law enforcement. Hansen has a history of controversial social media posts and is also facing charges related to threatening her former employer and child. She is scheduled to return to court on Thursday regarding the stalking case.
