Ken Urker’s sister, Autumn Urker, has accused Gypsy Rose Blanchard of making false statements regarding the circumstances surrounding her brother's unexpected death. In an interview with the US Sun on Friday, Autumn stated that Blanchard's birthday text was not the reason for concerns about Ken's well-being. This follows a report from TMZ that indicated a family member found Ken after he did not respond to Blanchard's birthday message.
Autumn said, "Gypsy had no right to lie and say that it was because of some text that she sent to him." She also claimed that Blanchard had been telling people they were engaged and expecting a second child, which she disputed. Ken and Blanchard had a daughter, Aurora Raina, born in December 2024.
According to Autumn, Ken and Blanchard had ended their relationship over a month prior to his death, with Ken being the one to initiate the breakup. She described their relationship as contentious, stating, "When he was like, ‘I’m done,’ she’d do a thing, and so it was a fight whenever they split."
A source close to both parties confirmed to Page Six that they had quietly ended their relationship a month before Ken's death and had been living apart for about two months. The source described their split as amicable, stating, "They both just amicably, a month ago, said let’s just leave it here, have our space and see where we’re at."
In a TikTok livestream, Autumn shared that her brother's last words to her were, "I love you," and recounted their final conversation. She mentioned that Blanchard's brother and others found Ken after his death.
Blanchard later expressed her suspicions to People, suggesting that Ken might have died from an overdose, stating, "I don’t know if it was intentional or not. He was not in a good state of mind lately." She remembered Ken as an amazing father and expressed her deep affection for him.
Ryan Anderson, Blanchard’s ex-husband, also commented on Ken’s death during an appearance on “The Sarah Fraser Show,” expressing his initial disbelief and concern for Gypsy and their child.
Ken Urker was found dead in his bed at his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on Thursday, which was also his 34th birthday. Reports indicate that he was found with drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun. A 911 dispatch log revealed that Ken had threatened suicide shortly before his body was discovered.
