President Donald Trump shared the personal cell phone number of Senator Tom Cotton, R-Ark., on Truth Social as part of his campaign to pass a bill aimed at ending daylight saving time. Trump criticized Cotton for preventing the "Sunshine Protection Act" from being voted on in the Senate last October.

Trump stated, "For some reason, Tom is stopping the Bill and, in the Senate, it’s very easy to do, it only takes one! It should pass overwhelmingly, in a Bipartisan fashion," in his post. He urged Arkansas residents to contact Cotton, including the senator's phone number in his message.

Fox News Digital attempted to reach Cotton using the provided number but did not get a response. The Senate is currently out of session until November 3, which means the bill cannot be voted on until after the midterm elections. The House passed its version of the bill in July with a vote of 308–117, showing bipartisan support. However, the Senate committee has not yet addressed the bill.

Trump has been a prominent advocate for ending the biannual clock change, claiming it would lead to various benefits, including reduced crime rates and improved health outcomes. The failure of the bill to pass, despite bipartisan backing, represents another challenge for Trump, who has prioritized the SAVE America Act but has struggled to get it enacted into law.

Following Trump's remarks, Senator Cotton reaffirmed his position on daylight saving time, stating, "No one likes changing the clock, me included, but Congress has enacted permanent Daylight Savings Time multiple times before and repealed it each time once Americans experienced absurdly late sunrises in the winter. Arkansans don’t want their kids going to school in the pitch dark, and I’ll always put Arkansas first," in a post on X.

This is not the first instance of Trump disclosing a lawmaker's cellphone number; he previously shared the number of then-Senator Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., during his 2015 presidential campaign.

Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for comment.
