Whistleblower Simon Andriesz, Who Exposed Ties Between Howard Lutnick and Jeffrey Epstein, Found Dead

Simon Andriesz, a whistleblower who revealed Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick's ties to Jeffrey Epstein, has died by suicide at the age of 57. Andriesz exposed Lutnick's relationship with Epstein through a 2018 email chain shared with Congress, contradicting Lutnick's previous statements about their interactions. His death was confirmed by a transparency advocate who had previously worked with Andriesz.

The email chain contradicted Lutnick’s previous claims regarding his relationship with Epstein. Lutnick had stated in a podcast last year that he first met Epstein in 2005 and severed contact after feeling uncomfortable during a visit to Epstein’s Manhattan townhome.

However, the email chain indicated that Lutnick and Epstein maintained a friendly relationship until at least 2018, a decade after Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting prostitution from a minor in 2008, and a year before Epstein's death in jail while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.
<img alt="Years before alerting Congress to Lutnick’s correspondence with Epstein, Andriesz alleged that Lutnick had undeclared business ties to Epstein in interviews with the FBI, according to the BBC.
